What you will be doing:

  • Manage the day to day activities of the relevant Accounts Payable teams, including the recruitment, development and performance of assigned teams. Ensuring that procedures are adhered to, work is assigned effectively and that deadlines are met, escalating and issues to the Accounts Payable Manager
  • Ensure that all documentation is efficiently processed
  • Ensure the timely payment of supplier invoices taking into consideration payment terms and discounts
  • Attend monthly review meetings with the FC and AP Manager to review Creditors/Debtors reports
  • Arrange monthly meetings with the ledger teams to discuss month end reports and resolve any issues, escalating issues to the AP Manager where necessary
  • Ensure the team are reconciling monthly statements, review on a monthly basis the top 20 supplier statements for each Ledger and assist in resolving any queries on the statement
  • Review the unapproved invoice report, negative balances, Aged Debtors & Creditors report for the Fashion and Perfumery Ledgers
  • Responsible for allocating BACS payment from APAR account
  • Set up and maintain corporate/personal accounts
  • Ensure all deadlines are met for the purchase ledger, escalating any issues to the AP Manager
  • Maintaining AP prepayments spreadsheet
  • Support the department to maintain strategic operations between head office and other sites
  • Reviewing and taking appropriate action on pending queries
  • Assist management in executing projects and any other ad hoc duties required by management, including administrative support


A bit about your experience:

  • Strong management and supervisory skills
  • Proficient level of Maths and English
  • Experience in accounts payable and knowledge of key accounting procedures
  • PC literate with experience of Word and Excel
