Describe your current role and who you work with

I work as a Head Receptionist for our hugely busy Brasserie.   This includes greeting every customer who is eating or drinking with us as well as leading a brilliant reception team.

What’s the best thing about working at Harvey Nichols?

I am part of a family.

What’s your favourite part of your role?

To be part of the amazing OXO team.   We are a close team who genuinely like working together to give every customer a 5* service.  We often socialise together making as well.

What gets you up in the mornings?

No one day is the same so I know each day will be fun, filled with challenges

What’s the most exciting thing you’ve ever done in your role?

Our General Manager asked me to create a friendly, hardworking reception team.  He and the team supported my every decision and I am now very proud of the team we have become.

Describe a typical day in your role

After reading my emails, I get ready for a busy shift.  I firstly make sure we have all the receptionists we need for all the shifts and that we are all clear about the day ahead.

After that, I print arrivals and allocate the tables, trying to respond to all requests and noting what special occasions we have coming in.   Then service starts and my team and I work together to make sure every single guest is looked after from the time they step out of the lift.
