Veni, vidi, Harvey! At Harvey Nichols, we love developing our employees to their fullest potential and that's why we're growing our home talent with our HN Academy. Take a look at what our promising winners have done to be awarded a place in the academy. 

So what's the academy all about? The Harvey Nichols Academy – Foundation programme takes employees in non-management roles through a year-long programme of learning to prepare them for their first management role. Employees in Competency Group F are skilled up to a Group E level.

 After a few exciting rounds, applications have now taken place. 

This is the process our winners had to go through to be awarded a spot:

  • Applicants completed an internal application form and passed it to their line manager for sign off.
  • A 1 hour interview was conducted by a Senior Manager and the local L&D Partner or HR Advisor.
  • During this interview applicants delivered a 15 minute presentation on a given topic.
  • Once all interviews had been conducted the L&D Partner reviewed all applications with the HRBP and GM and decided on who was going to be placed on the programme, based on the number of spaces available for that store.

This year, there were 45 spaces available in The Harvey Nichols Academy and we had a big total of 81 people apply!
