Get to know the HN Academy, our new selective flagship programme where members of the Harvey Nichols family are taken through a year of training to develop themselves at an intense pace and become professional champions. With the kick-off day of this honorary programme around the corner, we’re ready to share all the ins and outs with you.
Rising stars
Never hold back a rising star! To provide a platform for the rising stars in our business, our Learning & Development team has created a bespoke Management Development programme that takes employees in non-management roles through a year-long programme of learning to prepare them for their first management role. Employees in Competency Group F are skilled up to a Group E level and are given the chance to progress at an extra fast rate. Earning a place in the selective programme doesn’t come easy. From the 81 employees applying, only 45 were admitted.
Fearlessly stylish career highflyer
The programme is the full package to become a fearlessly stylish career highflyer! It focuses on training talent in different professional areas, such as feedback and coaching, managing performance, challenging conversations, presentation skills, building business plans and emotional intelligence. Courses vary from ‘Personality Profiling’ to ‘Commercial Acumen.’ Alongside their job, candidates receive a full year of group trainings, leading up to a big group project and presentation. The academy would not be complete without a graduation: at the end of the year, everyone’s achievements are celebrated with an official ceremony.
Welcoming day
To welcome our candidates on board and give them a good head start, we are organising a celebratory welcoming day for them in the bustling heart of Soho, London, Thursday, 15th March. As candidates from all over the UK and Ireland will unite to kick start this exciting launch, it promises to be a memorable occasion. Rumour has it there will be a Shapes game, a visit to our Knightsbridge flagship store and something happening with a boomerang…
