Staff Discount

Harvey Nichols offers discount to staff. These discounts are a benefit, which enables eligible employees to purchase merchandise in our stores, and enjoy the restaurants, brassieres, cafes and bars at a favourable rate.

The scheme does not form part of the contract of employment and therefore may be amended or withdrawn at any time.

The normal discount is:

30% off full price own-bought fashion merchandise and 20% off reduced price own-bought merchandise, own bought Food market and hospitality areas at all sites.

Clothing Allowance

Harvey Nichols offers clothing allowance to eligible employees to allow them to purchase own-bought products. With your clothing allowance plus your normal staff discount you will receive a combined 50% discount on full-price merchandise and 40% discount on reduced items up to your allowance.

Pension

All Harvey Nichols employees are eligible to join the Harvey Nichols Group Personal Pension Plan upon completion of the 6 month probationary period. Contribution to the pension scheme is based on age and Harvey Nichols will match this contribution.

The age-based percentage contributions range from 3% to 6%.

Bonus

Harvey Nichols has a number of bonus schemes which you may be eligible to participate in. The schemes are designed to enable us to recognise, by payment in addition to base salary, exceptional Company and personal performance.

It is an overriding condition of all bonus schemes that the Company has sole and complete discretion on all matters relating to the schemes, including decisions on participation (or continued participation) in the schemes and on the calculation and payment of bonus awards. The Company reserves the right at any time to vary any bonus scheme or its scheme conditions in any manner or to terminate any bonus scheme.

Holiday

Harvey Nichols gives generous holiday allowances to our employees ranging from 22 days to 37 days per annum dependent upon position within the business.

Refer a Friend

Our Refer a Friend reward scheme is designed to encourage our employees to recommend like-minded hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to help us build our future. If a friend of one of our employees is successfully appointed we will reward them with a tax-free payment of £200 for non-management positions and £500 for management positions.

London Travelcard (Knightsbridge and Head Office based employees)

This is a fantastic benefit which enables employees to travel throughout all London zones and on all modes of transport. The card is heavily subsidised by the company and employees pay a minimal contribution. Employees based at Head Office or the Knightsbridge store are eligible to receive a travelcard on completion of their six month probationary period.

Season Ticket Loan

All employees are eligible to apply for a season ticket loan, on completion of their six month probationary period, which they can repay interest free.

Childcare Vouchers

Harvey Nichols supports the government childcare voucher scheme allowing employees to pay for childcare vouchers though salary sacrifice.

Eyecare Vouchers

We provide eligible employees with vouchers for a free eye examination each year and if in the event that this examination shows you need glasses for middle vision (VDU work) we will provide a generous contribution towards to the cost of these.

Healthcare/Cash Plans/Medical Insurance

We offer a variety of healthcare cash plans that employees can choose to participate in to allow them to make huge savings when taking care of their health by receiving cash back on their treatment. Senior Managers are also eligible to participate in membership of the Harvey Nichols Private Medical Plan which is operated and paid for by the Company.

Vision and Values Awards

We recognise those employees who go above and beyond the Company Brand Promises. These individuals are nominated for the award by their peers and managers to recognise their achievements. The winners are awarded a Harvey Nichols £50 gift voucher to spend as they wish.

Long Service Recognition

Harvey Nichols places great significance on the commitment and loyalty of its employees, which is often reflected in their long service with us. In recognition of an employee’s long service, employees will be rewarded at each five year interval (beginning at ten year’s service)

Voluntary benefits are accessed through a website specially designed for Harvey Nichols employees and their families to all allow them to enjoy the wide range of fantastic offers and discounts that have been negotiated for our employees. The benefits website is constantly being updated with new benefits and providers being added all the time to ensure that our employees are always making great savings on the activities, restaurants and products they love.
