Description:

Do you consider a cold cappuccino a more horrifying prospect than being chased by a tarantula? If so, you’re the kind person we’re looking for.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time Waiter/Waitress within our Espresso Bar. The successful candidate will provide a prompt, efficient and courteous service to all our customers. This position will incude weekends.

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, and must be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service to our customers. In addition to this you must also be able to quickly gain a thorough knowledge of our menus and drinks list. You will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work well within the team. You should have the ability to plan and organise, be able to work to tight deadlines and use your own initiative within a pressurised environment.

The successful candidate should be able to complete the following –

  • Maximise sales through up-selling and recommendations.
  • Provide the highest possible standards of customer service ensuring guests are served in a polite, efficient, professional and friendly way.
  • Take customer orders accurately and follow all steps of service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Be aware of, and promote, all services and activities on the Forth Floor and throughout the store.
  • Establish a good working relationship with team members.
  • Ensure the manager on duty is aware of any problems or issues relating to customer service.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the menu and drinks list in order to answer customer queries and make recommendations.
  • Ensure bills are correct before presenting them to customers. Take payment according to the appropriate procedures.
  • Ensure that the department is maintained in a safe manner, free of hazards, and that store Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach to self-development.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation in line with the company dress code.
  • Ensure that personal KPI’s are achieved.
